Good things,

bad things,

I do them,

you do them,

we all do them.

To each other,

to different people.

It doesn’t matter,

because we are all

just shuffling along the immortal coil.

Or something.

Watching telly

Did you ever see this:

That’s the technical difficulties picture you get on tv, when it’s a problem at the tv station end, and not your signal, or your electricity.  I think.

I love everything.  I love chocolate and bananas and toast and pasta with tomato sauce.  I like tingly feelings and blissfulness and blue skies with fluffy clouds and purple and yellow clouds.  I like it when I get bruises on my knees and grass stains and water.  I like tie dye and rag rugs and scones.  I love jam and movies and popcorn and pizza and playing cards and eating snacks and laughing.

I love the magic roundabout and Brian and Dougal and Florence and Zebbeddee and the lovely cow who’s name I forget.  Erminetrude.

Inspired by a post I just read called “We interrupt this story”

Babe, Nemo, Dory and Shawn

1995, BABE

A lot of people eat animals.  I don’t because I can’t separate Babe from bacon.  Or sausages or ham, for that matter.

And sheep, sheep are beautiful.  They play together, they play like dogs do.  They have families and children and aunts and grandparents.  They deserve love, and care.  When you eat lamb, you eat someone’s baby.

People eat beef burgers all the time, not to mention drinking milk, eating cheese and all the other dairy products.  But they don’t think about the beautiful and affectionate people they steal the milk from.  That baby calf is your beef burger, and your leather shoes.  That loving mother cow wants to keep her baby and feed him her milk.

I wouldn’t want to eat a person, like a chicken, because they are all people, they each have their own personalities – if you watch Chicken Run you will see how they each have a different personality.  In the movie Babe you can see how all the different animals can communicate and co operate with one another.

I don’t know how anyone can see a fish without seeing a person!  I would never eat a fish, because I love Dory, and Nemo, and his dad and all their friends.  They are great people!  You can’t eat a person.

And then there are lobsters – I can’t look at a lobster without thinking of Sebastian from The Little Mermaid.  He’s amazing!  You can’t eat him.

That’s all for now!

Don’t put things off

Here today,

gone tomorrow,

that is life, bit by bit.

Don’t let things pass you by,

Don’t miss opportunities to do what you want to do,

Because you never know when your last chance will be.

Don’t put things off.

Poem – a letter to you

I love you

I hate you.

I miss you.

You were so disappointing.

Utterly a joke.

So what was the point of all that?

What was the point of you?

And why do I wish you’d come crawling back?

I hate you, I hate you I hate you.

You didn’t deserve me.

Why didn’t you try harder to earn me?

I want someone to take me out of this world,

And to give me gifts,

To write me letters and miss me.

I need someone to look at me like maybe I’m magic.

And to hug me strongly, like they don’t want to let go.
